Komatsu America names First Gear diecast models distributor
First Gear is very pleased to annouce that we have been chosen by Komatsu America Corp. to be the distributor of Komatsu diecast metal models to all Komatsu dealers in the Western Hemisphere.
The North American operation of Komatsu was established in 1970. Their goal was to become more than just a supplier of superior construction equipment, but to become a trusted partner that could provide ongoing support to every customer.
Today, Komatsu America is the second-largest, fully integrated manufacturer and supplier of construction equipment in North America. They have built a network of manufacturing plants and parts depots with approximately 2,000 employees. More than 90% of all Komatsu America equipment is being produced right here in the United States.
Komatsu America Corp. manufactures a full line of integrated construction equipment from the small compact construction size to the largest mining size, ranging from dozers and wheel loaders to off-highway trucks and tractor loaders.
First Gear hs been working directly with Komatsu American for the past eight years providing them, and you, with top-of-the-line custom tooled diecast models. Now, for your convenience, distribution in the western hemisphere of Komatsu diecast models will be consolidated under First Gear, Inc. This consolidation will enable you to have one contact source for your Komatsu diecast needs, regardless of manufacturer.
This change is the result of recent conversations between Komatsu America Corp. and First Gear, Inc. focused on placing a greater emphasis on the promotion of the Komatsu brand as both a premium and collectible product, in relation to the prestigious position the company holds as the second-largest manufacturer and supplier of construction equipment in North America.
First Gear wil also continue to provide you with its own line of outstanding Komatsu collectibles, while expanding the category to include exciting new Komatsu branded merchandise not previously available.
